GMCL Under 14s in final of LCB Michael Roche Trophy

Greater Manchester Cricket League up against the Lancashire Junior League in the U14 inter league final to be held at Heywood Cricket Club on Sunday 11 September. The sides will be playing for the LCB Michael Roche Trophy.

The start time is scheduled for 1.15pm and the match is 40 overs per side.

Representing the GMCL will be:

  • Dan Ainscough, Clifton CC (Captain)
  • Michael Witts, Heywood CC (V/C and W/K)
  • Lleyton Belston, Bury CC
  • Sam Chadwick, Greenmount CC
  • Declan Feakes, Flowery Field CC
  • Matthew Hall, Woodbank CC
  • Owen Halstead, Greenmount CC
  • Kamran Hussain, Stretford CC
  • Hisham Masood, Elton CC
  • Sam Openshaw, Walshaw CC
  • Sam Rhodes, Walshaw CC
  • Aaryaman Roy, Prestwich CC

Reserves: Lewis Dolan, Flowery Field CC and Oliver Pilkington, Walshaw CC

Ahead of the final, team coach and manager Jim Ainscough said: "The lads have played some fantastic cricket to reach the final of this pretigious competition, being unbeaten in their four group matches.

"They face a Lancashire League side who have also enjoyed a faultless campaign so it should be a great final.

 

"The GMCL are hosts for the day and I'd like to invite everyone who can make it to come along to Heywood CC and show your support for the team.

"Whether you can make it or not, please pray for sunshine."
