Diba joins FC United on loan

Date published: 02 September 2016

Rochdale AFC goalkeeper Johny Diba has joined FC United on a youth loan.

The 18-year-old will spend a month at the National League North side.

Diba joined Dale at the young age of eleven and progressed through the club’s successful Academy before signing his first professional contract in November 2014.

Rochdale Manager Keith Hill commented: “Johny needs game time. He has gained valuable experience in constantly being part of the first team but he has got to go and get game time under his belt now.

“He has got to go and play real men’s football to experience what it's like from a psychological, physical and footballing point of view.”
