Heywood Third XI win Per-Fit Cup semi-final

Date published: 30 August 2016

Heywood Third XI's semi-final at Denton West was a conclusive affair, with a 98-run stand by Fawcett and Grogan for the third wicket setting up a total of 205-8.

That was all too much for Denton in the face of a blistering new ball spell by Keyworth, who claimed the first five wickets to reduce the home side to 25-5.

He finished with the fantastic figures of 6-13 from his 10 overs to make the rest of the innings was a formality, and there were further wickets for Hilton, Humphreys and Mills as West subsided to 66 all out.
