The Rochdale Society of Model and Experimental Engineers has been offering children and families the chance to take a festive ride on the model train in Springfield Park.
Those who boarded the train got to meet Father Christmas, received a packet of sweets and ride around the half a mile track.
Today (Sunday 13 December) was the last day of the Santa Specials but it is likely that the festive treat will be back next year.
Santa said: “I met over 100 children on the Santa Special.”
On most Sunday afternoons, weather permitting, the society operates a passenger service throughout the year.
