We would like to thank Daniel’s (Reception) Mum for the brilliant suggestion of starting a petition in search of a more permanent solution to the continual flooding and drainage issues in our subway. The petition will be kept at the front desk so that parents can pop in at their convenience to sign it, so that we get as much support for the cause as possible.

A reminder to the Year 5 parents, that money can be sent in weekly to pay for the Robinwood trip.

On Tuesday the children enjoyed a visiting pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty by M&M theatre group. Thank you to all families who sent in voluntary contributions to help cover the cost; we really do rely on these in order to provide such fun and educational experiences above and beyond our creative curriculum here at Hamer.

The Winter Fair begins at 3.15pm on Tuesday 15 December. Confectionary, toys and books have already started to be bought in to school, so please do continue to send donations to make the event as successful as possible.

On Wednesday 16 December the children will be having class discos. The children may bring their home clothes in a bag to change into in the afternoon.

On Thursday, the children may wear their non -uniform clothes all day in school, bringing a donation of 50p to go to our assigned Charity of the Year – Rochdale Heartbeat.

We welcome all or parents to come and join us in our celebration assembly on Friday 18 December, which will also include some festive Christmas singing.

The school closes for the Christmas Holiday at 3.15pm on Friday 18 December and will re-open on Monday 4 January.
