Almost £3,000 was raised at the Springhill Hospice Winter Wonderland Lunch held at Nutters Restaurant on Wednesday, with all proceeds going towards the day-to-day running of the hospice.
Over 133 ladies from across the borough attended and were treated to a glass of fizz on arrival.
Guests had the opportunity to browse an array of stalls, from local retailers and have their photographs taken during the drinks reception.
The afternoon continued with a three course meal cooked by Andrew Nutter, Rochdale’s current Man of The Year, and entertainment after lunch.
Throughout the course of the afternoon a number of raffles were drawn with prizes available for each table, including beauty treatments, gift sets, a gourmet meal for two including a bottle of wine supplied by Andrew Nutter, who took time out of the kitchen to come through to the dining room to welcome the guests, introduce the menu and draw some raffle tickets.
Melanie Caffery, for Springhill Hospice, said: “The afternoon was a great success and we are going to make it an annual event, everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and lots of money was raised from the generosity of our attendees.
"A big thank you to all our supporters, fundraisers and attendees for making the day a great success. Also a special thank you to Andrew Nutter and staff for all their hard work.”
