Aden Service of Remembrance in Heywood

A Service of Remembrance to commemorate the massacre of 22 British troops in Aden (now Yemen) on 20 June 1967 and the withdrawal on 29 November 1967 took place in Heywood.
In attendance was the North West branch of the Aden Veterans Association along with members of the Lancashire Veterans Association and the Deputy Mayor Ray Dutton and Mayoress, Rochdale Borough Council Armed Forces Lead Member, Councillor Alan McCarthy and Councillor Peter Rush.
