Seven charged with illegal money lending and drug offences

Seven people, including Michael Francis and Jemma McGill, both of Heywood, have been charged with illegal money lending and drug offences.

Michael Francis (born 11/04/1960) of Manchester Road, Heywood has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis, production of cannabis, two counts illegal money lending offences, two counts of money laundering and abstraction of electricity.

Jemma McGill (born 18/09/1985) of Manchester Road, Heywood, has been charged with permitting premises to be used in the production of cannabis, abstraction of electricity, two counts of illegal money lending offences and two counts of money laundering.

Matthew Hudson (born 07/01/1985) of Sawley Road, Miles Platting has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis and production of cannabis.

Andrew Farren (born 05/12/1967) of Waterloo Street, Moston, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis and production of cannabis.

Jason Westmorland, (born 09/07/74) of Droylsden Road, Newton Heath has been charged with two counts of illegal money lending offences.

Lisa Elms (born 02/02/1971) of Jacks Court, Stalybridge, has been charged with two counts of illegal money lending offences.

Gary Azzopardi (born 09/02/87) of Edge Lane, Droylsden has been charged with two counts of illegal money lending offences.

All are due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on 15 December 2015.

The charges relate to an on-going investigation into illegal money lending, codenamed Operation Scarborough, in Greater Manchester.
