Subway station gate vandalised
One of the newly installed gates at the recently refurbished Rochdale Station subway has been vandalised.
Members of rail group STORM noticed the damaged on Wednesday 4 November and spotted that one of the hinges has been “ripped off its fitting”.
The gates were only installed four months ago following the refurbishment of the previously closed subway.

STORM members have described this act of vandalism as “sad and disappointing”.
Network Rail did not respond to our request for comment.
