Motorcyclist suffers serious shoulder injury following collision

A man suffered a serious shoulder injury following a road traffic collision in Rochdale.

At about 4.10pm on Friday 30 October 2015, there was a collision between a motorcycle and a green Ford Fiesta at the junction of Milnrow Road and Molesworth Street in Rochdale.

The 48-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he was treated for a fractured right shoulder.

No one else was injured.

Police are keen to speak to the driver of the Ford Fiesta who left his car at the scene of the collision and fled along Molesworth Street.

He is described as Asian and in his 20s, with dark hair and a moustache and was wearing a dark top and blue jeans.

Police Sergeant Simeon Holt of the Road Policing Unit said: “A man was seriously hurt in this collision and the driver of the Fiesta fled from the scene.

“I am keen to trace him and would appeal to anyone who saw the collision or the man leaving the scene to get in touch with police.”
