The new Middleton Junction community library celebrates on Saturday with an official launch and a family fun day.
The new library moved into the Jumbo Social Centre on Grimshaw Lane in July. To celebrate the library's new home, the Friends of Junction Community Library and Rochdale Libraries are inviting local residents, whether they use the library or not, to come along. The fun starts at 11am and continues to 4.00pm
The library will be opened at 12 noon by local historian Geoff Wellens and the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Angela Coric.
Included in the day will be a drumming workshop, Tug of War, book stall and displays from the fire service and the Red Cross. There will also be a tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac and homemade items stalls.
Invitations have been delivered to many homes in the area and are available from the library. Bring one along on the day and you could win the Lucky Prize Draw.
