Robert Lee, a Whitworth Community High School student, turned a U in Year 10 to a B in English Language in Year 11.
Robert, 16, from Whitworth, has just completed his GCSEs at Whitworth Community High School where he gained two As in Maths and Religious Studies and seven Bs.
“I was pleasantly surprised,” said the Deputy Head Boy. “I was surprised with my English Language getting a B but I decided to work at it and I got a lot of support from my English teacher and a former teacher who tutored me.
“I am going on to Rochdale Sixth Form where I will be studying A levels in History, Psychology, Sociology and Religious Studies.
“I will probably go to university but I am not sure what I want to do. It will probably be something to do with history.
“I have enjoyed my time here. I enjoyed the trips to France and America and doing my bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.”
