Mother's Appeal to Trace Teenage Son

Date published: 03 June 2004

The mother of a teenage boy who has been missing for over three weeks has made an urgent appeal to help trace her son.

14-year-old Kyle Howard, from Langley, Middleton, was last seen leaving Brownhill School on Heights Lane in Rochdale at 3.10pm on Monday 10 May 2004.

He is described as white, 5'11" tall, of slim build with green eyes and short ginger hair. He speaks with a northern accent.

He was last seen wearing blue denim jeans, a light blue Puma t-shirt and a navy blue sports sweatshirt.

His mother, Julie Howard, 33, from Langley said: "It has been over three weeks now and I am desperately worried about my son. I don't know where he could be and I urgently need to hear from him.

"If anyone knows where he is or thinks they have seen him then please get in touch with the police."

Detective Inspector Martin Jeffs from Rochdale CID said: "Kyle is a streetwise kid but he is young and has no means of support and we are becoming more and more concerned for his welfare as the weeks pass.

"I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen Kyle or for Kyle himself to get in touch with us by calling Middleton police on 0161 856 8543."
