REAG find quilts, food and fridges dumped

Date published: 12 July 2015

Members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) cleaned Drake Street, the back of Drake Street, Caton Street, and the area around St Chad's - they found quilts, food and fridges dumped.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Secretary, Rochdale Environmental Action Group: “We live in a beautiful town with rich history and would like to see that people take pride in their town and do their best to contribute positively to improve the environment of the Borough of Rochdale.

“Throwing food on the streets/roads, litter and rubbish on the streets and back alleys does not create a positive image of the respective area and its people.

“The Borough of Rochdale is our home and the home of our future generation. We must play our important role to improve its environment.”
