Woman jumps from Wheatsheaf Centre roof

UPDATE 12.30pm
Police have confirmed that the woman jumped from the roof and said: “The woman is suffering from life threatening injuries and is currently on her way to hospital.”

It is understood that a woman has fallen from the roof of the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre in Rochdale Town Centre.
Onlookers said that the woman had been on the roof since 9.30am this morning (Monday 3 February).
Police, fire and ambulance crews are currently on the scene.
