New Headteacher arrives at Siddal Moor

Ray Baker, Headteacher at Siddal Moor Sports College
Ray Baker has joined the staff at Siddal Moor Sports College as its new Headteacher.
Ray has joined the School from Kingsway Park High School where he served as its Deputy Headteacher since its opening in 2010.
Ray, 37, has been a teacher for 16 years and moved from Hertfordshire to Rochdale 10 years ago, where he now lives with his family.
Ray says: "Siddal Moor has the potential to be an excellent school.
"I believe the children in Heywood deserve the very best opportunities and we are committed to working with the students’ parents and the community to ensure this happens.
"Already I know we have fantastic staff and amazing students and can feel the buzz of hard work everywhere, ensuring our students make the most of their obvious ability.”
