Feel Good Festival: Victorian Games

Date published: 01 September 2013

Children were invited to take part in Victorian games at Rochdale’s Feel Good Festival.

The stall, located next to the creativity stand at the festival, let children try their hand at Victorian games, P.E., crafts and physical activities.

Coming from Touchstones in Rochdale Town Centre, the stall was linked to an exhibition of Victorian work on display.

Lindsey Mills who was working on the stall said: “The kids seem interested in everything on offer and the pick up sticks game is very popular.”

Children received a sticker for completing the activities and can pick more stickers up when they visit Touchstones.

Lindsey added: “We have been at the festival every year and it's nice to show people where Touchstones is and to be able to tell them about it.”

Touchstones is the borough's art and heritage centre which brings together a museum, art gallery, local study centre, educational services and a visitors centre and information shop.
