Couple face trial over malnourished girl

A couple will be sent to trial on 13 September 2013 to face charges of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.
The trial will take place at Manchester Minsull Street Crown court and the pair will be trialed by jury.
They were charged with the offence after an investigation was launched after a 10 year old girl was admitted to hospital for treatment for severe malnutrition, gross nutritional deficiencies, a distended abdomen and chronic ulcers.
