A 15-year-old male from the Rochdale area has been charged with two robberies following an incident on Whitworth Road, Rochdale.

The offence took place on Sunday 11 August and involved an attack on three young males in which two phones were also stolen.

The offender, who was on a small black BMX, threatened and attacked the victims, punching one boy in the face and putting him into a headlock before fleeing with two mobile phones.

The same male was also charged with an attempted robbery that took place the following day on Bentley Street, Rochdale, and he was due to appear in court this morning following the charges.
