Burst water main on Queensway

Water streams onto Queensway
A water main burst and water was streaming onto Queensway, Rochdale, this afternoon (Friday 23 August). The burst pipe is located opposite Castle Mill on Queensway.
United Utilities said: “We had people working in the area and are reasonably near by. Depending on the severity of the problem, it can take a couple of hours to fix. We try and deal with all reports within a few hours.”
It is currently unclear how the water main came to burst.
