Lizard theft in Newhey

A similar Iguana driftwood sculpture to the one stolen
A large Iguana driftwood sculpture was stolen outside a furniture shop in Newhey in broad daylight on Monday afternoon.
Several locals mentioned seeing an overweight stocky man with dark hair, dragging the heavy sculpture down Cedar Lane into an old green Ford Transit.
Anthony Howarth, co-shop owner, said: "I can't believe they had the cheek to pinch one of our Iggies right under our nose."
There is a small reward offered leading to the safe recapture of the iguana sculpture, please contact 01706 846677 with any suspicious details.
