Clean up campaign gaining momentum
Date published: 19 August 2013
A campaign to clean up Rochdale is gathering momentum as more and more residents are coming out to join REAG.
A REAG spokesperson said: "The knocking on the doors on Friday evening before clean up Saturday has been very effective."
REAG is also working closely with the 'Rochdale in Bloom' and 'ncredible Edible of Todmorden' to plant flowers and grow vegetables and fruit trees in unused open areas.
The spokesperson added: "Five locations have been identified and soon members of REAG will start working on these.
"We would like to thank all residents, Environmental Management, businesses and organisations who are supporting us to improve the environment in the Borough of Rochdale."
