Vehicle number plate theft

Date published: 19 August 2013

Vehicle number plates are being stolen in both the Middleton and Heywood area.

A victim in Heywood had both stick on number plates taken from his vehicle, between 11pm Saturday 17 August and 12 noon Sunday 18 August.

Police hold regular 'Safe Plate' initiatives and one is taking place in Middleton on Saturday 31 August 2013 at Kirkway Precinct between 10am and 1pm. GMP Rochdale South Officers will be fitting one way screws to help tackle number plate theft.

If you are unable to attend, call into the Middleton Police Station public entrance, situated on Oldham Road, Monday – Saturday 9:30am to 5:30pm, to collect the one way screws if you wish to fit them yourself.
