Rugby League World Cup in Rochdale

Date published: 19 August 2013

The Rugby League World Cup was in Rochdale last week during its tour of England, Wales and France.

The impressive silver-plated trophy was a very popular attraction at Rochdale Leisure Centre and Kingsway Sports Centre, with hundreds taking the chance to have their picture taken with the famous cup.

It was joined by 'Grubber', the tournaments official mascot who helped add to the excitement.

At Kingsway it was met by The English Colleges 19 and Under Rugby League squad who were involved in a training session at the centre.
