Rochdale Sixth Form excels with A Level results
Students across Rochdale borough are celebrating after helping the borough achieve its best ever A level results.
Rochdale Borough gained its highest ever points per candidate of 798.1, an improvement on last year’s average of 751.2 points per candidate. This figure is crucial as it is an important part of the selection criteria used by universities in allocating places.
In addition, the borough’s points per entry – which measures how well a student performs in a particular subject – rose 16.4 points to 210.7.
Councillor Donna Martin, Cabinet member for Children, Schools and Families at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “I would like to congratulate our young people on their stunning achievement. Their hard work and dedication, alongside the efforts of their teachers and parents, are a source of great pride for our borough.
“We are lucky to have such talented students who have put themselves in the best possible position to exploit the many opportunities open to them through education or a career. I wish them all the best of luck and am confident that they all have great futures waiting for them.”
