College website is cream of the crop

Date published: 15 August 2013

Hopwood Hall College’s website has achieved a top five place in a league of the best-working websites in the higher education sector.

The announcement follows the release of the latest Sitemorse Index findings. Sitemorse reviews the websites of over 300 university and higher education providers, looking at features such as accessibility, functionality and experience.

Sitemorse’s Head of Communications, Geoff Paddock, commented: “To be in the top 20 in our index shows you are doing well, to be in the top five makes you part of the cream of the crop. Hopwood Hall College should be very pleased with their results. Congratulations.”

As Sitemorse suggests that around 40% of students choose where to study by using websites, now more than ever, it is important to have a website that works correctly.

Lindsay Hurst, Hopwood Hall College’s marketing and website manager added: “It’s important to us as a College that our students and would-be-students are able to access information quickly and easily 24 hours a day.

"The website is the place where you can find all the latest news about the college, apply for courses, find out information such as term times and contact us for help and advice. It’s a vital communication tool, so we are incredibly pleased to be able to say we have one of the best-working websites in the country.”
