Bowls team raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support

The Plough Bowling club raised £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support through a bowls knockout tournament - enough to pay for a Macmillan nurse for a day.
The hosted the tournament to fund raise for Macmillan in memory of their friend Christine Powell.
Christine was supported by Macmillan nurses throughout her illness.
25 players took part with Les Grindrod and John Nyland making it to the final; seeing John crowned the winner of the Rose Bowl.
The club plans to hold the event annually to keep raising vital funds to help Macmillan support all those affected by cancer in Rochdale.
