Two men charged following robbery and attempted murder

Two men have been charged following a robbery and an attempted murder in Heywood.

Ryan Sandiford (born 09/02/94) of Green Lane, Heywood has been charged with attempt murder.

John Hyland (born 15/04/95) of Hilda Street, Heywood has been charged with attempt murder.

They both appeared at Bury & Rochdale magistrates’ court on the Saturday 27 July 13 and were remanded to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court today (Wednesday 31 July 2013).

A 50-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempt murder has been bailed until 6 September 2013 and a 16-year-old boy also arrested on suspicion of attempt murder has been bailed until 29 August 2013.

A 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of robbery has yet to be interviewed. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Shortly before 6.10am on Friday 26 of July police received a report of a robbery on a taxi driver on Green Lane, Heywood involving three men.

Moments after this robbery the offenders went into a nearby house and a disturbance has ensued resulting in two men receiving a number of stab wounds.
