REAG is campaigning to improve environment in the Borough and asking Rochdale Council to take immediate steps to improve the condition of the derelict buildings and open areas which are being used for fly tipping.

A spkesman said: "We are pleased that the Local Authority has been given the funding for improving the derelict properties in the Borough.

"Milkstone & Deeplish area is the gateway to the Borough for people using trains and Metrolink. In the light of the various physical developments in the Rochdale Town Centre, this area does not present a positive image of the Town. REAG and the community would like to see the improvement in and around the Town Centre."
