Rochdale Connections Trust presentation evening
Date published: 25 July 2013
Rochdale Connections Trust held a presentation evening, attended by the Mayor, Peter Rush, for those who had completed training courses.
Mayor Rush described the event as “absolutely first class.”
He said: “It was well organised and the volunteers and people who work there did a first class job.
“It’s about getting communities together and looking after children. All I saw were happy smiling faces.
“I was very pleased to be there.”
Kathy Thomas, Chief Executive of Rochdale Connections Trust, said: “Our Mayor, Councillor Peter Rush, attended the event to hand out some certificates.
“One man, who was collecting a certificate, gave a speech about how the experience has changed his life.
“He came to us a very depressed man and wasn’t living with his wife.
“He has now turned his life around and is back with his wife.”
