Risk of localised flooding and dangerous driving conditions

Date published: 23 July 2013

Rochdale was the wettest place in the region overnight. 21.8mm fell within a 12 hour period up until 9am this morning.

The heavy, thundery area of rain that brought large rainfall totals first thing this morning is now pushing north.

By afternoon less organised, more scattered downpours are expected. Many places will see brighter and warmer weather develop but any showers could be torrential and contain hail and thunder.

The risk of localised flooding and dangerous driving conditions to parts of the region continues until later this evening.
