Cancer charity creating a stir

Date published: 19 July 2013

Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is on 27 September and the charity is hoping to raise even more than the £7,000 raised in Rochdale last year.

In Greater Manchester 35 people are diagnosed with cancer each day. Macmillan Cancer Support are there to help those in need and the funds raised help keep these vital services going.

Once registered for the coffee morning a free pack is sent with everything needed including invitations, cake flags, balloons, a table cover and more.

Fundraising manager for Rochdale, Rose Tipton said “We were really impressed with so many great coffee mornings last year which made a fantastic contribution to the new record raised nationally. This year we’d love to see even more people having fun at their coffee morning, whilst knowing they’re raising vital funds to help Macmillan support people all over Rochdale”

If you want to sign up, you can either visit www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee, text COFFEE to 88080 or ring 0845 070 1317.
