Bike-It Raffle

Well done to Ethan Brierley who won the raffle for the new bicycle.
School has been awarded bronze and Silver Sustrans Bike-It School Award for the amount of children who have cycled to school and also for the bike ride we went on with Sustrans.

School Council

Well done to our School Council for all their hard work. School has now achieved the Gold Mark Award.

Dinner Money

From September school lunches will be £1.90 per day - £9.50 per week. Please send money on a Monday morning in advance, in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.

Special Assembly

This morning Bishop Mark came into school to present Mr. Wilson (Mrs. Coxell’s dad) with the Arctic Star Medal. He has been awarded this as one of only 200 surviving veterans who were part of the arctic convoys during WWII. Thank you to Bishop Mark for attending the assembly.

Music Lessons

Please ensure all outstanding music fees are paid as soon as possible. Thank you.

Blue Peter
Four of our Year 5 children have been chosen to go Media City to take part in Blue Peter. The children will be helping to make a bug mansion as part of the Wildlife City series. The show is being pre-recorded and will be shown on Blue Peter on Thursday 15 August.

Healthy Schools

School has been awarded the Healthy Schools Enhanced Award.

St. Martin’s Church

During the summer holidays, St. Martin’s Church are running craft sessions on a Tuesday 10am – 12noon. Adults and children welcome. Children must be accompanied by adults.

‘Trashion’ Show

Well done to all the children who took part in the ‘Trashion’ Show. They all worked really hard together with Miss. Morphet and Miss. O’Connor. All the children looked fab as did Mrs. Coxell and Mrs. Farrall who also took part.

Thank You

We would like to say a Big Thank You to our parents and grandparents and members of the local community for all their support throughout the year.

Staff Changes

Miss. Morphet, Miss. Ramsbottom and Miss. Lilly are all leaving us. We would like to wish them all good luck. Mr. Gilloway will be joining us in September to take Class 3G.
We are also taking on 3 graduate trainee teachers for a year – Miss. Steele, Mr. Davies and Mr. Snowden.

Good Luck to all our Year 6 children who leave us to start secondary school in September.

Summer Holidays

School closes on Friday, 19 July at the normal time and will re-open on Wednesday 4 September. Enjoy the summer holiday and we look forward to seeing you all in September.
