Special Assembly

On Wednesday, Bishop Mark is coming into school to present Mr. Wilson (Mrs. Coxell’s dad) with the Arctic Star Medal. He has been awarded this as one of only 200 surviving veterans who were part of the arctic convoys during WWII. Mr. Wilson will then be talking to Years 3 and 4 about their project work.

Bike-It

The raffle for the new bicycle will be drawn next Tuesday.

Reception Assembly

The Reception Rhyme Challenge assembly is this Friday 12th July at 2.30pm.

School Council

Good luck to our School Council who are being assessed today by Shawclough School for the Gold Mark Award.

Archery

Years 4, 5 and 6 will be having archery taster sessions on Friday.

Summer Fair

Thank you so much for all your help, support and donations towards our fair. We made a fantastic £1,100 which will go back into school funds to benefit all the children.

Wastebusters

Don’t forget to send in your unwanted clothes, accessories, shoes, curtains, bed linen, etc. We are accepting items from Monday 15 July. You can collect empty bags from the school office or use your own. There is a list of accepted items on the back of this newsletter.

Dinner Money

Lunches are £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week. Please send money on a Monday morning IN ADVANCE, in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.
Next week we will be on week 3 menu.

Music Lessons

Fees for this half term are now due £2.85 per week (£19.95 for this half term). Please also send any outstanding fees into school before we finish for the Summer. Thank you.

Eco Visit

St. Anne’s School, Blackpool are visiting school next Tuesday to have a look around our school grounds, eco-work and the animals.

Year 6 Performance

Year 6 performance for parents is on Wednesday 17 July at 2pm and Thursday 18 July at 7pm (no young children allowed at this performance).
Please let us know how many tickets you would like – there is a slip on the back of th3 newsletter.

Picnic Lunch

Next Friday, 19 July is picnic lunch day. If your child would like to have a picnic, you need to fill in the slip on the back of the newsletter and return it to school by Tuesday at the latest. Meals are £1.85. There will be NO hot dinners on this day.
