Read how HMR CCG intends to improve resident's quality of life

Date published: 10 July 2013

A 16-page booklet sets out how NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG) intends to work to shape local healthcare services and improve the quality of life for the population of the Rochdale borough.

It has sections that explain what the organisation is about; introduces priorities; outlines roles and responsibilities as well as your rights and responsibilities as a patient; summarise finances; and puts the challenge of planning local healthcare into the context of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.

Dr Chris Duffy, local GP and chairman of NHS HMR CCG, said: "We really want to make sure people understand what the CCG is and what our plans and priorities are. We also want people to get involved and help us make sure local healthcare services meet your needs. We hope this prospectus will help to do both these things.

"Please let us know if you have any comments about it – we would love to hear from you. You can email hmrccg.haveyoursay@nhs.net, call us on 01706 652853 or send us a message on Twitter @NHSHMR."
