Fire Service Museum Open Day
Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum held a fun-filled afternoon for children of all ages at their annual 'Kidz Day'.
The afternoon included face painting, fairground rides, a fire engine that the children could sit in, hose squirting and a bouncy fire engine, as well as old fire engines on display for everyone to look at.
Bob Bonner from the museum said: “This is one of our most popular events and families like to come for a fun day out.
"We have held this event for three to four years now and several hundred people usually turn up.”
The event was held to raise money for the museum. The museum is part funded by the fire service so any funds raised go to support the museum.
Bob added: “It is done to keep the museum up and running.
"We try and attract all ages but this day is especially for the kids.”
