Milnrow Pre School Charity Fun Day
Date published: 06 July 2013
Milnrow Pre School held a fun day today (Saturday 6 July) in order to raise £2,500 needed to help fit radiators in their conservatory.
The day was all geared to children having a good fun day. Activities included face painting, soak the aunties, surprise jars, a car boot sale, bouncy castle and much more.
Jean Ward, manager of the pre school said: “Today has been brilliant. Everyone turns out to support us and the event has been successful overthe past three years.
“We are like a big family. Everybody knows everybody here and we all just relax with the parents.
“Last year was horrendous with the weather but this year has been fantastic.”
Milnrow Pre School is a nursery school for children aged two to five years and currently looks after 32 children.
The school is a registered charity and hopes to raise the total amount throughout the year. The money raised will go towards the viola fund, which funds repairs to the building.
The school often holds other events such as Halloween parties, face painting during school time and odd socks week to raise further money.
