Hamer School Charity Walk

Date published: 05 July 2013

The children from all classes from Year 2 up will be taking part in the School Charity Walk to Hollingworth Lake on Monday 8 July.

Last year this was a fantastic success with many parent volunteers. If any parents would still like to volunteer please talk to your child’s teacher.

Please ensure your child wears suitable and sensible shoes. In addition should the weather be warm sun hats can of course be worn and you will need to apply sun cream before your child arrives at school. The children will all enjoy a packed lunch up at the lake.

Our Foundation Stage and Year 1 children will also be joining in by walking in the school grounds and then enjoying a packed lunch on the field.

Please come along and support us next week at the Sports Days:

Wednesday 10 July 10.15am – Nursery AM.
Wednesday 10 July 1.30pm – Nursery PM. and Reception
Thursday 11 July 1pm – Key Stage 1 children
Friday 12 July 2pm – Key Stage 2 children

The Citizen’s of the week ending 5 July 2013 are the Year 6 Students Workshop Group for demonstrating a sensible and mature attitude in the recent ‘Growing up and Relationships’ workshops. Well Done.

Parent Consultations will be taking place over the next two weeks. Units and individual Year Groups have been in touch with parents directly.

Parent feedback from questionnaires stated that these meetings are wanted every term so the school has facilitated this. Therefore, please can parents ensure that appointments are made with your child’s teacher and you attend to discuss your child’s progress over the course of the past academic year.

There are a few nursery places available for September. If your child or a family you know has a child who will be 3 before January 2014 then please get in touch with school.

Well done to all the Hamer Stars of the Week for week ending 5 July 2013 they are:
