Vauxhall Astra mounted the pavement and ploughed into a bollard
A man driving a grey Vauxhall Astra was very fortunate not to be injured when he mounted the pavement and ploughed his car into a bollard this lunchtime.
An eyewitness to the accident on Huddersfield Road, Newhey, said both front airbags were deployed.
The driver explained he lost control due to a wasp being in his car.
A police spokesman has confirmed no one was injured.
