Year 11 celebrated the end of their time at Wardle High School on the 27 June 2013 with a prom at Norton Grange. The girls donned their most sparkly and glamorous attire while the boys suited up for the occasion.
During the evening, awards were presented to pupils for a variety of different achievements including ‘Most Improved Pupil’, ‘Prom King’ and ‘Prom Queen’ with comical awards such as ‘Most Likely to be Famous’ also being awarded.
Manson Gill, who has been Head Boy this academic year, won Prom King with Megan Greenwood winning Prom Queen.
The Year 11 Prom was a great success, thanks to all staff involved, especially Mrs Rigg, Mrs Hope and Mrs Robinson. Thanks to the staff that attended and for everyone’s hard work throughout the year with Year 11 (after school revision, Easter schools, mentoring etc).
Mrs Sue Rigg, Year 11 Mentor, said: "All the pupils looked fantastic and the Norton Grange was such a great venue for the occasion.
"The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and Wardle High School is so proud of the hard work Year 11 have put in during their time here. We wish them the best of luck in the future."
