Sandwiches, teddies and fairy tales
Date published: 03 July 2013
In celebration of National Bookstart Week that took place last week, Rochdale Borough Council’s library services in partnership with Sure Start children’s centres hosted a Teddy Bears’ Picnic in Springfield Park.
"Families were treated to an afternoon of magical fairytales, creative activities and games. A ride on the model railway proved to be a great thrill.
Joanne Eaves, Libraries Development Manager at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “I’m glad to see that families took advantage of the chance to celebrate National Bookstart Week with us.
"Despite the rain the event provided a true fairy tale happy ending.”
