Date published: 02 July 2013

The Rochdale & District Camera Club held a preview of their 2013 Photographic Exhibition at the Rochdale Pioneers Museum, Toad Lane, Rochdale on Saturday 29 June.

The Mayor, Councillor Peter Rush and the Mayoress Monica Rush attended the Exhibition together with the Vice President of The Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union, Mr John Smith.

Frank Harrison, the Camera Club Chairman, together with other club members escorted the Mayor and Mayoress around the exhibits.

The Mayor took a particular interest in a photograph depicting old mill worker's cottages whilst the Mayoress was taken with an image of a damselfly.

After enjoying light refreshments the Mayor declared the exhibition open and was presented with a small gift from the club, whilst flowers were gratefully received by the Mayoress.

The Exhibition is open until Sunday 21 July during the museum opening hours.

On Saturday 13 July and Sunday 14 July members of the club will be on hand to answer any photographic questions or queries members of the public may have.
