Zoe Renshaw, a Crohns sufferer from Littleborough, who will run the London Marathon for the National Association of Crohns and Colitis next year, is looking for donations to help in her fundraising efforts.
Zoe already has a number of events planned which will help with the fundraising. She and her running partner, Becky, plan on dying their hair pink over the August bank holiday weekend. She hopes this will kick-start their efforts to raise £5,000.
She will then start a strict training plan which will involve her first official events, the Leigh 10km on Sunday 7 July and then the Oldham Half marathon on Sunday 20 October.
When asked about why she was is intending running the London marathon, given the challenge it represents to a Crohns sufferer, Zoe replied: “This has always been an exciting event, I have never done anything like before and it will help the National Association of Crohns and Colitis which is all funded by volunteers.”
