Pretty in pink

Date published: 29 June 2013

Fine art student Emily Dinsdale, 19, from Rochdale, has art work displayed in local solicitors office.

Emily is a second year student at the College. Her piece ‘In the Pink’ is a fun painting on canvas in acrylic.

The artwork will be on display in the Forster Dean Rochdale office for the next four weeks.

Emily’s piece was chosen by solicitors Yvonne Hall and Joanne Hall after they attended the College’s fine art open evening earlier in the month and viewed all the student artwork.

They were joined at the open evening by many guests, including the students’ former school teachers.  Emily’s English teacher from Springhill School, Vicky Sheridan, was one of the attendees at the event. Vicky commented that she was delighted with the progress Emily has made and joked how Emily never stopped drawing when she was at school.

This is the fourth piece of work to go on display as part of a continued partnership between Forster Dean and Hopwood Hall College. The programme aims to highlight the work of the College’s students.
