The Big Games comes to Littleborough
Date published: 26 June 2013
Littleborough Sports Centre will be throwing open its doors this Sunday (30 June) from 11am-3pm with free activities all day at The Big Games 2013.
Local clubs and groups are joining with event organisers Link4Life to use the day to showcase local arts and sports.
With something for all ages, free taster sessions will run all day with sessions on the indoor climbing wall and free coaching and instruction available. There are opportunities to try Zumba, boxercise, cheerleading, racquet sports and table tennis. The youth gym will be free all day for 8-16s and adults and children can take on the challenge of the 'Trixster' bikes. Rugby, football, hockey and golf tasters are also available. Free face painting and arts and crafts add to the line up which has something for everyone to enjoy.
Centre manager Sharon Crouch says it will be a great day out for all ages. "Come along ready to take part in as many activities during the day that you can fit in! It's that kind of day. A great opportunity to try something new or to find out about the wide range of activities that Littleborough has to offer."
Advice for anyone intending to throw themselves into the activities on offer is to wear sports or casual clothes with trainers and socks. All other equipment is provided.
