Sports day - with a difference!
Date published: 24 June 2013
The children from St John with St Michael CE Primary School in Shawforth had an enjoyable day of fun sports.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the weather the school decided to hold a sports day with a difference!
The children were split into groups according to their House Point Team colour; red, yellow, blue, green.
There was a variety of ‘sports’; Cross Country Running, Treasure Hunting/Mapping Skills, Skipathon, Zumba/Dance and also an Obstacle Course that made use of our climbing wall. There were running races later on in the day.
The children all spent 20 minutes on each task.
Many thanks to all the parents who also came along to watch or support in the tasks.
