Summer Fair
This year’s Summer Fair will be held on Friday 5 July from 3.20pm onwards. If anyone can help either at the fair or setting up on the day from 1.15pm, we would really appreciate it. We would appreciate any donations towards our raffle which is our biggest fund raiser. Thank you.
Stalls
Chocolate Tombola; Bottle Tombola; Face painting; Pint Pots; Tattoos; Come and have your photo taken with the donkeys, Name The Dog; Lucky Dip; Raffle; 50/50; Refreshments; Jewellery Stall; Lucky Straws; penalty Shoot-out.
Cake Stall – we are having a Bun Bake-Off with a Summer theme and then we will sell the buns at the fair. There will be a prize for everyone who enters and then 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
Pint Pots
Your child will be receiving a plastic point pot which please fill with wrapped sweets, pencils, crayons, small toys, hair accessories, etc. We will be selling these at the fair.
Sports Days
We will be having our Sports Days during next week (weather permitting). All parents, grandparents and members of the local community are welcome.

Bike-It
Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Children will also receive a raffle ticket for any day they come on their bike or scooter and there will be a raffle at the end of the year for a new bicycle.
Yesterday some of our Year 5/6 children went on a bike ride to Springfield Park to practice their cycling skills. All the children behaved fantastically.
Banner Service
Our Year 2 children are going to a Banner Service at St. Chads tomorrow and then for lunch at the Town Hall. They will be joined by other Year 2 children from some C of E Schools in Rochdale and the service is to dedicate banners made by Head teachers. Bishop Mark of Middleton is taking the service.
Galas
The League Gala finished on Monday. All the children swam really well and the girls were runners up.
The Inter-league final is on Monday at Middleton Arena at 2pm. Good luck to all the children.
Bottle Tops
Year 3 are collecting plastic bottle tops for their project work during eco and health week. Thank you.
Fun Swims
Year 5’s fun swim is tomorrow morning. Class 1G are going on Monday morning. Please make sure all money and permission slips are sent back to school as soon as possible. Thank you
Recycling
We are taking part in Recycle Week and we are collecting unwanted small electrical items and you will get a chance to win £200 worth of shopping vouchers. The school who collects the most items will win £500. There are some recycling bins in the foyer at the front of the school. If you bring any items into school, you will need to get a form from the office which you need to fill in and then register online to enter the prize draw.
Reception
The Rhyme Challenge assembly has now been moved from Friday 19 July to Friday 12th July at 2.30pm.
Dinner Money
Lunches are £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week. Please send money on a Monday morning, in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.

Rugby
Rugby started last night and will run till the end of term and into September to coincide with the Rugby World Cup.
Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are now due - £19.95. Thank you.
