Healey Foundation Primary School

Date published: 18 June 2013

It was nice to see so many parents at the new parents’ evening on Monday. The ‘Hello Healey’ sessions begin next week and we hope that the children enjoy their first taste of school.

Next week the Year 6 children who are transferring to Whitworth High School will be spending the full day there. The children are expected to find their own way to and from Whitworth and have to be in Healey uniform.

Parents are reminded that the NAS/UWT and NUT Strike Day is on Thursday 27 June. The closed to pupils with the exception of Year 2 and Year 6 who MUST attend as normal. All schools are affected by this strike and thjough some schools will be fully closed this is not the situation at Healey, where these two classes will be in.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Cup last Friday.

Reception: Alice Mountford
Year 1: Jessica Bonde
Year 2: Cameron Hitch
Year 3: Adam Butterworth
Year 4: Lauren Taylor
Year 5: Skye Anderton
Year 6: Alicia Darling and Lewis Whittles.

School attendance was down due to the sicky bug which never seems to leave us. Whole school was 95% with the best performance from Year 2 who managed just over 99%.
