Family Fun Day
There is a Free Family Fun Day on Saturday 15 June 11am-2pm at Touchstones in Rochdale. There will be arts and crafts, drumming activities, dance and drama performances. Open to all ages.

Summer Fair
This year’s Summer Fair will be held on Friday 5 July from 3.15pm. More details to follow next week. 

Bike-It
Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Children will also receive a raffle ticket for any day they come on their bike or scooter and there will be a raffle at the end of the year for a new bicycle.

Swimming Training
Year 5/6 swimming training is on Friday mornings. Children need to be at Castleton Baths by 8.30am.

The next Swimming Gala is on Monday at Oulder Hill School 2.45 – 4pm.

Bottle Tops
Year 3 are collecting plastic bottle tops for their project work during eco and health week. Thank you.

Martial Arts
We have 50 tickets to watch a Martial Arts Competition and Showcase on 18th June 3.45pm-6pm at Matthew Moss. Some of our past pupils and two of our present pupils, Tyler Lord and Ravish Morar, are taking part. If you are interested, tickets are now available from the school office and are £2.00 each. Parents will need to take their children.

Recycling
We are taking part in Recycle Week from 17 June – 5 July. We are collecting unwanted small electrical items and you will get a chance to win £200 worth of shopping vouchers. The school who collects the most items will win £500. There will be some recycling bins at school within the next couple of days. If you bring any items into school, you will need to get a form from the office which you need to fill in and then register online to enter the prize draw.

Fun Swims
Mrs. Duffield’s fun swim went really well. Miss. Pierce’s class are going on Monday morning.
Year 4 fun swim is tomorrow.
Please make sure all money and permission slips are sent back to school as soon as possible. Thank you.

Reception
The Rhyme Challenge assembly has now been moved from Friday 19 July to Friday 12 July at 2.30pm.

M6 Theatre Company
M6 Theater Company are coming into school on Monday to do a production for Year 1 and Reception children.

Dinner Money
Lunches are £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week. Please send money on a Monday morning, in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.

Cooking Sessions
Next Thursday we are starting cookery sessions for men and their children from 3.30-5pm. This could be Dads, Grandads or Uncles. School has secured some health lottery money for these sessions. If you are interested, please give your name into the school office as soon as possible.
