Healey Foundation Primary School

Next week is quite busy, for Year 1 it is the Phonics Screening Check. Miss Burrows has worked hard with the children and hopefully they will sail through the checks. On Monday evening it is the New Intake Meeting at 6 o’clock. There are lots of changes coming up so even if you already have children in school it is essential you come along. The meeting is not suitable for the children to attend, their days getting to know the school are following from the end of June.

On Wednesday it is Reception Class trip to Smithills farm. The coach is leaving at 9:15am promptly and should return in time for the end of school. Mrs Rahman will send out specific details about what the children will need and what they should wear in her newsletter. Packed lunches for children who have a school meal will be provided. On Thursday and Friday Year 5 are having their outdoor learning day. The class is split and one day is watersports at Hollingworth lake and the other an outdoor activity day. Again, specific details about clothing and other equipment will be sent out to those children nearer the time. Thank you to the PTA who have subsidised this trip for Year 5, enabling them all to take part.

The following week is very hectic for Year 6 as it is the transfer taster days at high schools.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last week>
Reception: Dylan Stott
Year 1: Daniel Crossley
Year 2: Olivia Ellison
Year 3: Jessica Jones
Year 4: Ellie Frost
Year 5: Jacob Griffiths
Year 6: Amelia Cook

Overall school attendance was 95% with the best class being Year 4 who almost managed 100%, but not quite.

The PTA are busy planning the end of term barbecue – keep an eye out for details.
